Reviews and Much More....Coming Soon

I apologize...I have been so busy it's not even funny! I've been working like a crazy person and I've been trying to have somewhat of a social life instead of just coming home and watching Netflix (Most of the time it watches me because I usually fall asleep I'm so exhausted)

I have so many different products I would love to share with you. I have purchased a lot of different products especially since I started working at Sephora. I can't wait to share my new finds with you all.

I'm also working on my first EP album. My friend/producer and I are trying to finish this project soon so everyone can start listening to good music again. There will be more details on that coming soon.

I have some Memeboxes coming in the next couple of weeks. I have an Urban Decay Electric Palette review coming soon. I have another Etude House Pink Bird Pink Box Review coming soon. (I'm super geeked about it you guys!) And I have some fun OMG lip stains from Korea coming soon.

Hope you are having a great summer! (It went by so fast right?)

Stay Sweet!

Etude House Pink Box // Pink Bird Lock 'N Summer Review

Hi guys. It's been so long since I've made a post. Things have been super busy for me. I've been trying my best to get on a decent schedule. I don't know about you guys but we've had a pretty mild summer here in Chicago. Some days it's kind of warm, some days it's very cold. I wore a thick sweater on Sunday but yet I could have worn shorts today.

Regardless of the weather, I'm still holding on to Summer's bright and warm colors. Good thing Etude House launched their Summer line Lock N' Summer. They were kind enough to send me some products to play with.

I love the Pink Bird sticker they put on the boxes now! It's so cute!

Of course Etude House sent info about the products that were included in the box.

They also sent a mini magazine that showcases their new and popular products. It also includes tutorials and makeup tips and tricks. It's way too cute!

They sent me five products. Three are part of the Lock 'N Summer line.

One of the first products is the Lock 'N Summer Precious Mineral Proof Any Cushion. There are two shades. Light Beige N20 and Natural Beige W13. N02 is a lighter shade while W13 is more of a darker shade. I'm so happy I was sent Natural Beige W13, the darker shade. The formula is very similar to the Precious Mineral Any Cushion. It contains SPF 50. It contains pearl mineral powder to control sebum. It brightens your skin while providing it with moisture and provides a flawless, non sticky finish, perfect for summer.

I always love the packaging of any Etude House product. These are kind of giving me a retro 60's vibe (I thought of The Beatles right away LOL) and I love it.

The compact is almost identical to the Precious Mineral Magic Any Cushion and the Precious Mineral Any Cushion. It comes with a mirror and a blue pad applicator.

Just as the previous compacts, this foundation comes in a sponge applicator. I love the fact that I'm seeing these sponge applicators pop up here in the United States. Dr. Jart has some at Sephora and Laneige has some at Target. I love using them. I usually use my Beauty Blender with mine and I get great coverage.

I know it seems a bit light on me but that's only because I've gotten a bit tan this summer. I know once Fall/Winter rolls around I'll be a bit lighter and this shade will be absolutely perfect for me.

Excuse my serious looking face. I don't know why I didn't smile for these pictures! LOL!

It actually blended pretty well. I've worn it and I really like it. It's light and perfect for summer (and transitioning into fall)

This next product, although it's not a part of the Lock 'N Summer line, is a great additional product to pair with the Precious Proof Mineral Foundation. The Baby Sweet Sugar Powder is a great loose powder foundation for summertime. It minimizes the appearance of pores and fine lines and has a matte finish. It feels great on your skin & leaves it feeling so soft and smooth. It's perfect for people who have oily or combination skin. My skin tends to be dry in the winter and somewhat oily in the summer :-(

Again the packaging of this is so cute!

It's sad but also funny, I was super excited about the cute little powder puff that comes with this! I think it's adorable and you can definitely tell because I took all these silly pictures with it. LOL!

Some people have said that this powder has a peachy scent to it. Maybe it's just me but it doesn't smell like peaches. It smells sweet and I love how it smells but it doesn't smell like peaches. Regardless I love it.

The next product is part of the Lock 'N Summer line. The Lock 'N Summer Cushion Blusher.

So cushion everything seems to be pretty popular in Korea these days. Like I said, we're just starting to see more cushion applicators in the U.S. but this is the first time I saw a cushion blush.

This blush comes in two shades, PK001 and 0R201. PK001 is more of a pinkish color while 0R201 is more of a Orange like color.

The blush comes with a pad applicator as well. It's similar to the blue applicator from the foundation except this one is mini and it's pink ^.^

Although this is a beautiful color, it barely shows up on my skin. It might be because I've gotten darker this summer but it also might be just too light for me. For those of you who are of a lighter complexion, this color will be great for you.

The last product out of the three in the Lock 'N Summer line is Lock 'N Summer Proof 10 Cushion Lock 'N Liner.

This liner, like the other two products, is in a sponge applicator. It comes with a precise liner brush and is in a small compact. This comes in 5 different colors, Black (BK801), Brown (BR401), Pink (RD301), Blue (BL601) and Purple (PP501). I was sent the brown eye liner.

I had never seen this kind of concept before. Eye liner in a cushion format. I thought it was an interesting concept. I usually don't use brown eye liner but I was excited to try this out.

Unfortunately I felt like it was difficult to apply this eye liner on my eyes. Although the brush is fantastic, it's really hard to get a good amount of the product on the brush. The pictures below are my attempts to apply the liner on my eyes. I applied it a couple of times but I could not get enough coverage. I think it was a fun concept theoretically, but in reality it just doesn't really seem to work as it should.

The last product is the Face Conditioning Fixer. Although this is in its original bottle form, Etude House has released this with their Lock 'N Summer line. I'm not sure if they tweaked the formula a bit or if it stayed the same. I'm assuming it's the same formula. This is essentially a makeup setting spray to be used after you put your makeup on to keep it in place all day. You can also spray it throughout the day if you feel like your beautiful face needs a pick me up. It has such a light and sweet refreshing smell to it which makes it even better! I love that it came in this little bottle. It makes it so easy to put in your purse. Unfortunately mine had leaked quite a bit on its journey to my doorstep so when I opened it a good 2/3 of it was already gone. But that's ok, it gives me more incentive to buy some more once it runs out.

So those are all of the lovely products that Etude House sent to me. I've been having fun using them. I'm so thankful to Etude House for sending me their products to try out and review. You can get these products on a number of sites that sell Korean Beauty Products.

Etude House Pink Box // Pink Bird Review June 2014

So I sincerely apologize. I haven't been on here like I should. I recently started two new part time jobs. One at Sephora and one at Apple. They have both been exciting and fun but at the same time I haven't had much time to update my site.

I received this Pink Box from Etude House about a month ago. I've finally been able to upload my video and write this review post.

Since my video is long (too long, sorry guys, I rambled a bit much, LOL!) I'm gonna try my best to leave this simple and sweet.

I was exciting to find a Pink Box at my doorstep and what was inside was pretty awesome. They sent me six of their Play 101 Pencils. I had seen them on Etude House's Facebook page.

Of course Etude House sent me info about all the different Play 101 Pencils they have to offer, Pony's Beauty Diary and info about her and a tutorial for a Chic Smokey Eye Look.

The first pencil #44 comes in a glittery brown copper color. In the tutorial you can use this on your entire eye lid as an eyeshadow. This pencil is perfect for a quick simple look.

The second pencil #1 comes in a creamy black color. This is to be used as your eyeliner. If you want to use it to make a winged liner I would suggest getting a precise liner brush. This liner is creamy enough to get a winged liner effect with a brush but not by itself.

The third pencil #43 is a glittery pencil and it comes in a light gold color. In the tutorial, this pencil was used in the inner corners of the eye. You can use this any way you like though.

The fourth pencil #8 is a matte pencil and it comes in a light tan color. In the tutorial you are to use it on your lips but the color was WAY too light for me. I will probably be using this as a base color before I put on my bright colors from my Urban Decay Electric Palette.

The fifth pencil #11 is a creamy pencil and it comes in a bright coral color. In the tutorial you use this color on your lips. You can also use it as a blush as well. This color was also a bit light for me so I mixed it with a couple of lip colors from my massive lipstick collection and got some great results.

The sixth and last pencil I received is a glittery pencil that comes in a gold color. You can use it as a highlight color right underneath your eyebrows. You can also use it to extenuate your cupid's bow.

I was also sent a brush and a cute water bottle from them as well.

Etude House also manages to surprise me with such cute and awesome things! If you haven't seen it already you can watch my review video here:

I really enjoyed playing with these pencils! If you want to buy them you can find them here, here and here.

Stay tuned for another Pink Bird Pink Box review coming soon. I just got one the other day and I can't wait to share it with you guys!

Until next time, Stay Sweet!
